Heather Locklear and Denise Richards try out for the same role

Heather LocklearDenise RichardsAs further evidence that American television lacks any creativity, ABC is getting set to begin taping “Football Wives”, which is a port of a UK television show called “Footballer Wives” (wow, even the title lacks creativity), which focuses on a group of wives of pro football players.

Michael K at DListed reports that the show’s pilot director, none other than Bryan Synger, wants Heather Locklear to play the lead wife. In an interesting twist of fate, it seems that Heather’s bitter enemy Denise Richards tried to nab the same role before.
