Is Kabbalah the new Scientology?

Britney Spears quits KabbalahAccording to The Superficial, quit the Kabbalah religion (is that what it is?) because they keep trying to get more money from her. Apparently part of the religion is to “donate” a portion of your salary.

From various sources in the past I’ve heard that Scientology does the same thing, although there’s no conclusive proof of this since Scientology is such a secretive organization.
