Kirsten comes short of saying she wouldn’t have taken the job
In a (somewhat) recent interview, actress Kirsten Dunst said that she only took the lead in her upcoming movie Marie Antoinette because Sofia Coppola was directing it (Coppola had directed Dunst in a past movie, The Virgin Suicides).
“She captures who I am more then anybody else,” is what Kirsten said. Gee, I thought the job of the director was to capture who the characters were, not the actors…
Anywho, to me, this is like a nice way of saying she didn’t want to do the movie, which may be truer now that feedback was rather negative in it’s Cannes Film Festival premiere.
