Mariah Carey and others to get a Star in 2007

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce (the authority behind the Hollywood Walk of Fame) has just released a list of celebrities that will be receiving a star in 2007. Why they’re already thinking that far ahead I have no clue.

Among the stars will be for music, as well as Sean “Diddy” Combs and the rock group The Doors. Actors also receiving stars include Jamie Foxx, Michelle Pfeiffer, Michael Caine and Matt Damon.

Unfortunately I no longer hold any honor for the Walk of Fame as it’s become nothing more than a publicity vehicle. Why is it the likes of and Donald Duck, who isn’t even real, get a star before truly worthy people like Clint Eastwood or Robert De Niro?? It’s downright disgusting is what it is.
