Rihanna was born Robyn Rihanna Fenty on February 20, 1988 and is from Barbados. She is the first female and the second known person from Barbados to have received a Grammy award. Her hit song “Umbrella” was #1 on the charts in several countries, inluding a 10 week run in the U.K and the longest running U.K. single since 1994.
