TORI AMOS YELLS AT FANS TO STAY IN THIER SEATS
OK yes Tori has a great voice. OK shes pretty hot too. (BabeAudit LOVES FIRE PIES) Tori is known for forcing audiences to STAY IN THIER SEATS during her performances. I witnessed her rudely telling people repeatedly during her concert at the Santa Barbara County Bowl to stop dancing and to sit down.. So I wasn’t surprised to hear this story about her yelling at fans to stay in thier seats.
Tori Amos let fly a volley of abuse at female audience members at a recent show in San Diego.
The singer was so irked by their constant coming and going and coming and going that she stopped halfway through a performance of ‘Code Red’ to suggest that they “get the fuck out”.
Or rather: “Get the fuck out of my show! Get the fuck out! It’s a privilege to sit in the front row and I reserve those seats for people who appreciate music, get the fuck out!”
The women left the Copley Symphony Hall to widespread whooping.
listen Tori…. next times some fans at your concerts want to stand up and sing or sway to your ethereal hippy shit.. SHUT THE FUCK UP AND PLAY MUSIC…

As you said yourself in this article, the ‘fans’ in question were not singing, dancing, or ’swaying’, they were repeatedly distracting and disturbing others by coming and going, standing and sitting, and also (which you didn’t say) talking on mobile phones. This wouldn’t be a problem at a standing rock gig of course, but Tori’s shows are seated theatre shows, and those that know her music should also know this, and there is an etiquette associated with that kind of show which you don’t break unless invited to by the artist (such as getting up and dancing, usually invited at or near the end of a show) otherwise you distract others and disrupt the show.
Also, If you think Tori’s music is ‘hippy shit’ why bother to comment on it? What do you care what she or her fans do at her concerts?
Appears like authors’ mother was being fucked by a horse at the time he was delivered…
Tori Amos’s music is personal to her, she is sharing something of herself (ie Me and a Gun) So when you are in a quiet theater, listening to her music, sharing a part of her, you should be at least respectful enough to leave or stay and enjoy. However, I do agree swearing at them was a bad idea. If she had just asked them politely to leave, that would be different. Show the respect you expect to be shown. But… she is a red head! They are a feisty bunch! ;)
